~How Is the Earth Made?~

Today I will be explaining how the earth is made. The earth is made up from different layers: the crust, the mantle, and the core. There are two types of crust ; oceanic and continental. The earth is surrounded by the atmosphere, the atmosphere is an invisible gas that forms a thin protective blanket around the earth. The earth was formed around 4.5 billion years ago.

~How it all started ~

The big bang happened apparently billions of years ago. All matter of the universe was compressed into one tiny point until it exploded 12~14 billion years ago. This explosion was called the Big Bang. During this time lots of dust gas spewed throughout space.

~About earth our planet~

As you know the earth is the third planet from the sun and is the only planet in the universe where there is life. The earth is 149.6 million km away from the sun. Our current population is 7.888 billion people which is close enough to 8.000 billion people. The earth’s distance from the moon is 384,400. The radius of our earth is 6,371 km..

~The differences in our earth~

There are lots of differences in our earth like the southern hemisphere and the northern hemisphere. The northern hemisphere has more land when compared to the southern hemisphere but the southern hemisphere has more water than the northern hemisphere. Ireland is located in the northern hemisphere Ireland is also found north of the equator. The earth has many more differences like all the continents and the population’s of the countries and every country is a different size.

~Our Earth~ 👍🌍

This is my last paragraph about the earth. The earth has so many unknown things and our scientists and NASA and more people are trying to find more information about earth. As you know the earth has different time zones and you are probably wondering why, Well I’m going to tell you why. Times zones are caused by the earth's rotation. The sun illuminates the earth, but only one portion at a time. Since the sun can’t rise in every part of the earth, time zones maintain logical order and regulate day and night across the globe. For example, let's say it's 9:45 pm in Ireland, in Australia it would probably be 4:45 am because they are 7 hours ahead of us. People question how is the earth made how did we get here and all this kind of stuff but we all have different answers but the thing is nobody is right because we don't know like some people say God made all this happen some people say Adam and Eve had children and they had more children and it went on and on some people say humans evolved around apes the thing is we’ll never know personal I question a lot about life and why do I exist and why am I here and wondering if I have a twin alien up in space the thing is I know I’m not going to get an answer but I guess as they all say live life love before its all gone. What do you question or think about the earth?

“Follow your dreams because you never know what's going to happen next”

How Plants Survive In The Desert

Some plants are able to survive in the desert even without much water. It is due to the fact that when there is heavy rainfall they have the ability to store the water until later. That is why if you cut the top off a cactus there is water, inside it is risky to drink though as it has been known for making people delusional.

Desert plants are adapted to survive in their environment. Small leaves help reduce moisture loss during photosynthesis. They help reduce moisture loss because there is less evaporation surface per leaf.

Camels do the same thing meaning all things in the desert are very sustainable which is why people ride them in the desert.

I think desert plants are really cool because they can adapt and survive in their environment.

HOW OUR EYES SEE

Our eyes are very complex things, and this will only tell you a small bit of all our eyes actually do, and how they work.

The eye.

The eye is the organ of your body that allows you to see, and sight is our dominant sense. Your eye is located on your face, to the left and right of your nose, but you should already know that. The eye is connected to our brain by a line called the optic nerve.

The parts of the eye.

Your eye is made up of many different parts, like the cornea, the transparent cover of the iris and pupil that allows light to pass through. The iris is the coloured part of your eye that surrounds and controls the size of your pupil, the black centre of your eye that shrinks or grows, to let more and more light into your eye. It shrinks when there is less light and grows when there is more light. Another part of the eye I will write about is the retina. The retina is the light sensitive tissue at the back of your eye. Light that comes from your pupil and your lens is then focused onto your retina. Then your retina turns the light into electric signals, sends them to the optic nerve which then sends them to your brain. And the last part of the eye I will talk about here is the lens. The lens is a clear and a curved part of the eye at the front of the eye but at the back of the pupil.

The eye seeing at distances.

The eye can see at different distances thanks to the ciliary muscle, the red and yellow lines above and beneath the eye in the picture above. The ciliary muscle will change the shape of the lens of your eye, which will help your eye to focus and closer or farther objects.

How our eyes see colour.

Our eyes can see different colour thanks to cone cells. Cone cells are known as photoreceptor cells, cells in the eye that convert light into signals of energy which they then send to the brain. There are more to photoreceptor cells, but I believe that to explain them in a more detailed way would just needlessly complicate things, which I am trying to avoid doing.

SUMMARY

To summarise this, the eye can see thanks to the lens, the retina, the optic nerve, the cornea, the iris and the pupil. While cone cells allow us to see the colours we see.
