Catholic Schools Week

The students of St Johns had a busy week as they visited local antiquities: The Black Abbey and Kenny's Well. They saw the abbey's beautiful stained glass windows which they will use as inspiration for art this week and we even got to speak to one of Dominican Friars Fr. Joe who answered all the classes questions. Some of the students lit candles for loved onesWe learned some fun facts about the history of the Black Abbey and Kenny's Well too.

As part of Catholic School's Week all of the classes attended a special mass on Friday where our new Bishop Niall Coll was in attendance
